Bathroom Renovation

Before Josh and Laura arrived for a visit in June, Darcie and I wanted to get the guest bathroom renovated. It gave us a goal to be done by because it needed to be funcitional when they were here. It turned out we ended up finishing it the morning they arrived. We hadn't got the correct fittings for the bathtub so it meant a trip to Home Depot and Rona in the morning before I headed to work. Oh well. Our friend Mason helped us out quite a bit too with tiling which was nice of him. It was a lot of work, but Darcie and I are really pleased with the outcome. Since we have 2 bathrooms, we decided that each of us got to design one. She chose the guest bathroom. We could choose the paint color, shower tile, floor tile, fittings, mirror, all that stuff, as long as it didn't clash with the rest of the apartments decor. I think she did a great job. I like the look of the wainscotting so I'm probably going to put it in our bathroom too.

Raptors NBA Game

A couple months ago, a group of our friends went and checked out the Raptors play Boston Celtics. At the time, Toronto was fighting for a playoff spot but never ended up making them. Darcie and I hadn't been to an NBA game since we saw the Grizzlies play in Vancouver. There was always something happening to keep the fans entertained. A lot of times they would throw stuff into the crowd and I managed to catch a taped up white thing which ended up being a sports shirt. It's not my favorite sport to watch but we still had a good time.

My Yamaha R6

Well, the time has come. Along with a lot of persuading, I was able to purchase the motorcycle I've always wanted - a blue Yamaha R6. It's been a thrill to ride. I try and take it to work and go on rides whenever I can. It's a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to going on some weekend trips with it. Haven't made any major plans yet though. I've got a black and grey JHC helmet, black ICON jacket, and black boots and gloves. I've been caught in the rain with it once so far. I was at work trying to wait it out but the rain kept getting heavier so I figured I'd just deal with it. While I was riding, it was raining so hard. When I got home, my clothes and back pack were soaked. It was like I'd put clothes on and stood in the shower for 30 minutes. What are you gonna do? Dry off.
