Nursery

Darcie's 30th birthday was on March 4th. The weekend before her birthday we went to Kelowna and stayed at The Grand, a nice close getaway.  We were able to save a lot of money on the room and on the amazing morning buffet because Darcie's brother's girlfriend works there and pulled some strings for us.  It made it a very nice relaxing weekend for us.

Darcie with Emmett about to blow out the candles for her 30th birthday!!

Darcie's been keeping herself busy making many things for the nursery and baby.  One thing she's done which I'm not showing a picture of until after the baby's born is sewed a bunch of buttons in the shape of the baby's first name that we've picked out.  I think it's such a great idea and it looks really good.  Picture to follow soon. Sorry ;)  She's also figured out how to sew fitted crib sheets from fabric she bought, as well as sew together a crib skirt, window valance, 2 blankets, and a mobile with owls and hearts.  Many of the same fabrics are used in all the things she's made so it all ties in together nicely

Here is the mobile with owls and hearts.  The open eyes on the owls are buttons and closed ones are sewn. I think it looks awesome!!
Here's Darcie's most recent belly shot from about 3 weeks ago so she's even bigger now!
(Emmett's thought:  hmm, i don't recall it being like that before)
Here's the baby's closet with a dresser full of clothes for her first year
