Patio Upgrade

Since we'll be putting our apartment on the market soon, we thought it'd be a good idea to give our balcony a little sprucing up so it looked nice for viewing. Darcie put a fresh coat of paint on the concrete and then bought some chairs at Ikea, plants and table at Home Depot, and rug at The Superstore. It's like a little oasis out there on a nice sunny day. We wish we'd done it sooner so we could've enjoyed it ourselves more. We really enjoy sitting out there now on a sunny day having a drink or reading.

Darcie Running Half Marathon

Darcie ran in the Toronto half marathon May 15th. Although the marathon was open for anyone who registered, Darcie and a group of Chiropractic students and others ran for a special cause. They were raising funds for a woman trying to achieve a higher medical education in Central America. I believe she raised close to $400 herself. Thanks to everyone who donated. I believe the half marathon was a distance of 20 km's and her goal was to do it under 2 hours. Her time was 1:58:42.

Bathroom Renovation Before Pics

We finished renovating the second bathroom. Darcie got to design the first one so it was my turn to decide how this one was to look. With some additional guidance from Darcie, here's some before and after pics.

Relaxing at Pilar (Pee-Lar) Beach - a 5 minute taxi ride from our resort. We went there twice. This picture is from when we arrived during our catamaran excursion. As far as the beaches I've been to in my life, this one and Magen Bay in St Thomas are the two nicest I've ever seen. This one may even have a slight edge over Magen Bay because of the amount of turquoise water. It was such a beautiful place. I had lots of reading material but never wanted to look away. The pictures don't do the place justice. It was definitely one of the, if not the most beautiful place I've seen. It's just sand, water, and sky but I couldn't get enough of it. Exceptionally beautiful.
